We are a multi-generational sheep family in the Walla Walla Valley, Washington.  Stories of surviving the depression by grazing sheep by the train car loads in the sugar beet fields of Western Nebraska have been passed down.  Lessons have been learned and money lost by chasing trends into the frame Suffolk world.  Today’s operation tracks towards practicality and what works best for us and our needs as we focus on the club lamb industry and what fits our time availability. 

We like to lamb the majority of our ewe base in the fall and early winter and have the lambs sold under 90 days after being born.  We attend the early public sales such as Pacific Elite, Oklahoma, Midwest Elite, Reno and hold our own online sales as well and sell privately.  Our time gets scarce after June as we are very involved in the suppression of the wildfires in the west.  We try to have all the lambs sold and ewes breeding in June by the time the fires come around.
